Sin Is Crouching at Your Door….
Read Genesis 4:1-15
These were the words that I woke up to last Monday morning at 7:00 am. NO audible speaking from the Lord, just these words on my mind “Sin is crouching at your door.”
Now that’s a little unsettling. It’s weird to wake up to that. It’s not unusual to wake up with scripture on my mind, but this was different. Maybe it was just a sign for me that God was warning me of something personally in my life or maybe it was God preparing my heart for this week’s message.
Genesis 4:7b “But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you.”
Last week in Psalm 37:8 David said “stop being angry. Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper it only leads to harm.” To turn away from your anger and control it is a sign of repentance.
So the question is: Turn from your rage to what?
