Our Mission Together – Part 1

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (NIV)

Our mission given to us by Jesus is to go and make disciples of everyone. To be a disciple making church it must be our main focus and be something that we continually strive to do.

Our Vision: We are a community of growing followers of Jesus who invite others to join us in our lifelong journey.

To fulfill our mission, we commit ourselves to five disciplines of the New Testament Church. The first one is:

  1. We will introduce Jesus to others in ways that are relational and sensitive to their needs, and invite them to join us in our community of faith. (Mt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:44, 47)

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (NIV)

Acts 2:47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (NIV)

Why introduce Jesus to others and why invite them to join us in our faith?

How did Jesus interact with people?
