Our Mission Together – Part 2
Our Vision: We are a community of growing followers of Jesus who invite others to join us in our lifelong journey.
To fulfill our mission, we commit ourselves to five disciplines of the New Testament Church:
- We will INTRODUCE Jesus to OTHERS in ways that are relational and sensitive to their needs, and invite them to join us in our community of faith. (Mt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:44, 47)
2. We will WORSHIP TOGETHER in ways that are dynamic, friendly and relevant to discipleship and disciple-making. (Ps 95:6, Matt. 18:20, Heb. 10:25)
What is Worship?
What is worship according to the Bible?
Worship is declaring the greatness of God.
Worship is bowing down to lift up.
The act of worship can be just about anything that honors God. As the apostle Paul says in Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.” (NIV)
Why worship together?
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the DAY approaching.
